Instructions for liquid caulking.

1. If you are installing your Bomar hatch into an existing hole make sure you remove old caulking and the sealing area is clean.

2. If cutting trace cut out onto the deck and cut with Jig saw. Note: Tolerance varies up to 1/8" on aluminum hatches, do not cut hole before receiving your hatch.

3. Apply a generous amount of sealant to the sealing flange. Consult sealant manufactures for recommendations on what type of sealant to use.

4. Set your Bomar hatch in the hole cut out making sure it is centered.

5. Screw into place. Extruded aluminum and stainless steel hatches use #10" stainless steel flat head screw. Cast aluminum use 1/4" stainless steel flat head screws. Plastic hatches use #10 stainless steel pan head.

6. Clean excess caulking using cleaner recommended by sealant manufacturers.

7. Interior ring if using, can be attached with screws, staples or adhesives. The interior trim ring fits over the spigot of the hatch like a sleeve.
