Hayn Marine Hi-Mod Compression Fittings

The Hi-Mod mechanical terminal is the latest advancement in swageless fittings. Produced by Petersen Stainless Rigging in the UK and distributed exclusively by Hayn Marine in the USA. These terminals have a unique crown ring that assures the wires stay evenly spaced around the fitting, eliminating the need to bend the wires, assures the cone is in the proper place, and keeps the strands from dropping into the cone slot. These advantages combined with a longer cone with a more shallow angle give you the most secure and efficient swageless terminal on the market today.

Hayn cone is manufactured from type-316 stainless steel and is fully re-usable, allowing for easy inspection and re-use without having to replace anything. The crown ring is manufactured from aluminum bronze. With the use of these materials, Hayn do not require the use of sealant in their fittings. You can, however, fill them with a non-acidic polysulfide or better marine-grade sealant.

Hayn Forged bronze body with 316 grade stainless steel “Pressed Pin” eye toggle feature qualities of high strength and corrosion resistance while demonstrating excellent non-galling characteristics. Please note that both the 7/8” and 1.0” versions are available in “highly polished chrome” only and are fully machined from bar material and are not forged. All end fittings are crafted from 316 grade stainless steel. Swage style end fittings are standard with “swageline” depth indicator, wrench flats and size identification.

Hayn Failsafe Insulator

Utilizing the same features that have made the Hi-Mod Mechanical fittings popular, this insulator has an internal ball-socket in the main body that threads onto the connecting stud. The nut is insulated from the stainless steel body by a Tufnol™ socket, preventing electrical transference to the insulator body or opposite terminal. Should, for any reason, the Tufnol™ be compromised, the nut will bottom out against the stainless housing. While the backstay will loosen, the insulating studs will remain attached to the insulator body. This allows the rig to be re-tensioned until a repair can be made.
