Our crew is currently racing on J-24, J-22, Hobie 33 and Mumm 30. We grew up racing Sunfish, and Laser. We did lots of racing in many other classes, and we are always racing on different types of boats. We want to share with you our passion for efficient deck layouts and how to upgrade sailboat parts.
Important facts to know:
For the Sunfish Class: Rod Favela has been a “sailing disciple” of Eduardo Cordero for more than 8 years, and if you are a Sunfish class member you already know that Eduardo is 7 times world champion. Rod will always more than happy to share with you the state-of-the-art from this word class sailor.
For the J-24 Class: Juan Mauri has been involved the class for almost 20 years, and always at a very high level. In early 2000 he wrote for Doyle Sails their J-24 Tuning Guide, and now he is back and very active in the class. He is always looking ways to upgrade the J-24 deck layout and it’s trimming systems.
For the J-22 and Mumm 30: Our expert is Greg Koski. He is currently involved in these two classes at the highest levels. With more than 15 years of experience as a sailmaker and a world-class professional sailor he is constantly looking for ways to improve the deck layout and trimming systems.
For the Optimist Class: Mauri Pro Sailing works very close with members of the Peruvian National Team. We have a permanent contact with Christian Sas and Eduardo Cano both world class Opti coaches and one of the main reasons that a country not “famous” in the international sailing arena became recently 3 times World Champions in Opti Team Racing.
