Kicking off the festivities with a bang on August 22, 2024, the official Opening Ceremony in Barcelona promises a maritime fiesta like no other. Now, let's talk about the Challenger Selection Series. From late August to the end of September 2024, crews from around the world will be battling it out for the ultimate bragging rights. The big showdown, the America's Cup Match, hits the waters on October 12, 2024. The Challenger will face off against the big shots from Team New Zealand, America’s Cup Defenders.

Is the defender of the 37th America's Cup, featuring a world-class and exciting lineup of the best New Zealand sailing talent representing the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS).
INEOS Britannia
INEOS Britannia is the Challenger of Record for the 37th America’s Cup*. The British team, who will race for Royal Yacht Squadron Ltd, was formed in 2014 before joining forces with INEOS in 2018.
Alinghi Red Bull Racing
After over a decade away from the America’s Cup, Alinghi, is returning to battle. The team represents the Société Nautique de Genève and is partnered with Swiss watch brand TUDOR.
Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli Team
Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli is the Italian team that represents the Circolo della Vela Sicilia sailing club. During the last two decades, the team has participated in six editions of the Copa América.
NYYC American Magic
On 1851, the America team won the "100 Guinea Cup" race against 15 English yachts. The trophy was renamed "The America's Cup", marking the beginning of its legacy as a perpetual challenge trophy.
Orient Express Racing Team
The Orient Express Racing Team will represent the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez. From 1970 to 2007, aside from the United States, France is the only country to have competed in every edition.
