This clamp has two basic components, one the mount tube portion and the other is the rail tube portion.
The rail tube portion must be disassembled so the stainless steel strap can be placed on the stern rail as shown in diagram 1. Please note the order in which the clamp is assembled. Note that the white plastic spacer components can allow rotation for mounting on rails at various angles.
