Sail Overview

MX7 range of Carbon GP racing sails are available for non-compromise racer. All MX7 racing sails are built as a Load Path Membrane. MX7 sails are available as a film/film (racing) or with single or double layer taffeta for offshore and endurance racing.

MX7 Membrane Surface Types

MX7 Carbon GP Racing: Film / Film
Top of the line racing sails in a film / film configuration. MX7 Racing mainsails are available for modern sport boats up to the maxi racer. Flexible choice of hi-tech fibers and scrims. Your option of Clear or Matte film.

MX7 Carbon GP Racing: Lite Skin
Added abrasion resistance combined with a minimum of additional weight. Available as Light or Heavy and Black or Grey.

MX7 Carbon Membrane

All Passes are Carbon and Black Technora. X ply 1140 Black Technora @ 45 degrees & 20 mm spacing. Standard films are 0.75 mil clear.

Designer's Note

MX7 Carbon sail membrane only uses fiber reinforcement where it is required and not where it isn't! This keeps weight to an absolute minimum without compromising the performance and durability of the sail. Because weight has been kept to a minimum, it also means that some or all of the weight savings made where reinforcement is not needed can be used to add extra reinforcement to the high-load path areas of the sail. The fiber reinforcement added to the membrane is also a continuous directional filament, which accurately follows the load path lines of the sail.
