The Selden CX is a furling system for code zero sails.Designed for quick setup and easy deployment, an essential feature for sails that are not used permanently. The Selden CX furler makes sail handling easy, quickly add power to the boat and keep sailing in light wind conditions.
It consists of a line driver drum and a top halyard swivel. The AT-cable (not included) is integrated in the luff of the sail with thimbles at each end using Selden cable clamps. The thimbles are easily attached to the drum and halyard swivel with a spring loaded captive snap lock clevis pin, allowing different sails to be used with a single furling system, or stowed below decks without removing the drum and continuous line from the stanchions. A dedicated 2:1 purchase halyard is recommended to obtain the required luff tension and to reduce the load on the halyard sheave. The drum and the furling line can be permanently mounted to the bow and along the stanchions.
